Was launched in Mumbai on the 28th of September, 2004 with the principal objective of being the voice of Indian retailers, RAI's Vision is to develop, facilitate and propagate practices and processes that will grow the Indian retail industry, leading to increased consumption and member of RAI, to facilitate achievement of the Vision.
RAI has tied-up with 17 prominent B-Schools including K. R. Mangalam Institute of Management across India to roll out its Postgraduate Programme in Retail Management (PGPRM).
The overall aim of the programme is to provide students with a high level of knowledge and understanding of the concepts and processes involved in retailing and to equip them with the necessary practical, research and analytical skills necessary for a professional career in retail professional who have the intellectual and practical abilities necessary to cope with the pace of change in the industry.
