KRM students from MBA Sem I visited NTPC, Badarpur Plant on 24th Oct & 29th Nov
in 2 slots. NTPC is one of the Navratra Companies in India and having a PAN India
Presents. The students were as excited as the faculty members to visit one of the most
successful and efficiently managed the organization. As the KRM buses arrived at the
Badarpur Thermal Power Station gate, the students were welcomed by 2 faculty members
ready to guide and share their vast knowledge. The students were amazed and amused to
see the magnificent plant and huge machinery. The students learnt the process how
electricity is generated, what are the various processes involved.
The various steps involved right from purification of water to lading and unloading of coal, grinding and crushing of coal to generation of steam to generate on the electricity to finally recycling processes involved captured a lot of attention from the students. The control rooms, the generators gigantic machines presented a wonderful site. The trip was highly informative and students were quite excited to interact with people so informative and efficient.
