KRM Rocks the Fresher’s party :
It was a rich cultural feast at the glittering Fresher’s Party 2009 organized at the KRM campus, G.k-I, New Delhi, wherein the fresher students(MBA and BBA) rubbed shoulders with their seniors and held the audience spellbound with their captivating performances, on the sparkling evening of 18th of October 2009.
The proceedings of the evening got off to a start with the welcome ceremony of the distinguished guests- Director General KRM Group - Dr. Raj Singh, Director KRMIT AVM Rajeev Sharma and member trustee Mr. Rahul Gupta and then the night kicked off with the mind boggling performances by the students that rocked the audience
Many captivating dance performances by the MBA and BBA students held the audiences swinging at their will. The audiences lustily cheered the young students during their performance. A short skit by Saurabh and Anam of BBA-III named 'Munna and his Degree' also came in for applause.
The bhangra dance by the students of MBA-III was the culmination of the cultural feast where the students danced in gay abandon to the beat of drum. The bhangra drew thunderous applause from those present.
Attired in their best outfits, from traditional saris to trendy western wear, the students let their hair down as the event progressed. Even as their friends were performing on stage to popular numbers, many boys and girls didn't lose an opportunity in shaking their leg in the sitting area. Excited shrieks filled the air and the jolliness was palpable on their faces. The perfect mood for a college party
Of the different cultural programmes, the Fresher's pageant seemed to be the favourite. Cheered not just by the audience but by co-participants as well, 16 fresher students, clad in vivid designer wear romped on stage.
Ritika of MBA-II and Viplov of MBA- I were crowned Ms. Fresher and Mr. Fresher respectively. While Anushree of MBA-II received the title of Ms. Attitude. They bagged the honours after a Four round performance which was judged by four senior faculty members. Students of the selected best cultural performance of the evening were also felicitated on the occasion.
Dr Raj Singh, Director General KRM Group expressed his pleasure at the performance of the students and expressed hope that the students would continue to bag laurels in both academic and extra-curricular fields
Students who were full of excitement could not resist themselves grooving to the beats of the DJ. Everyone got on to the dance floor the minute the cultural events ended. Every soul present there added up to the already sizzling environment by shaking a leg. show epitomized the beginning of a colorful and illustrious career for each and every fresher.
The evening ended around 9.30 P.M. followed by dinner.
The event marks its specialty among the students, as it helps in creating a perfect academic environment by bridging the gap between the seniors and the freshers.
