Industry Resource Centre (IRC) at K.R. Managlam Institute of Management, provides a dedicated suite of professional career-related services to our undergraduate and post graduate students in order to give them the edge in today’s competitive employment market and empower them to forge their own winning careers.
The role of IRC is to provide placement assistance to students to build-up and strengthen their relationship with corporate world in order to fill the gap between industry and academics through consistent efforts.
IRC works closely with employers from various organizations from industry viz Banks, Financial Institutions, FMCG and Marketing Organizations, Multinational Corporations to actively market our students to match their hiring needs, and create internship and job opportunities for them. Students are also promoted to recruiters through Corporate Marketing Visits and an annual compilation of students curriculum vitae sent to key partners.
Conferences, workshops, networking sessions, career talks and industry forums are just some of many events that Career Services organizes as platforms for our students to interact with potential employers and create that sterling first impression which will enhance their employability.
The main objective of the IRC is to enhance career prospects of KRM students. IRC team always promote visits to potential employers in various companies and apprise them of the ample talent available at our Management Institute. These managers and executives of IRC have developed strong relationships with various renowned companies. This interaction with the industry has equipped the career management team in providing the students with information that will guide them in planning their careers properly. It also helps to increase recruitment and maintain strong industry contacts.

Relationship Building
The IRC organizes various activities like Industrial Visits, lectures, pre-placement talks, which give opportunities to the students to interact with the veterans from various industries. Apart from academics, the students are given career training by being exposed to practice of group discussion sessions and mock interviews prior to the final placements.
Career Counseling
IRC counseling team also guide the students through the process of choosing the possible career options and help them to make career choices which are in tune with their interests, abilities, and work experience and moreover inline of industry demand.
Internships
The Summer Internship Program (SIP) combines academic inputs with practical training and offer industry-related, hands-on experience in various career opportunities. They also help students gain future employment contacts by networking with potential employers.

IRC is organizing Industry interaction programs with a cross-section of Industrial experts & professionals from various sectors and functional areas like financial services, marketing, human resource management, operations, information technology.
