Industry Resource Centre (IRC) at K.R. Managlam Institute of Management, provides a dedicated suite of professional career-related services to our undergraduates and post graduate students to give them the edge in today's competitive employment market and empower them to forge their own winning careers.
The role of IRC is to provide placement assistance to graduating students to buildup and strengthen their relationship with corporate world in order to fill the gap between industry and academics through consistent efforts.
IRC works closely with employers from various organizations from industry viz Banks, Financial Institutions, FMCG and Marketing Organizations, Multinational Corporations to actively market our students to match their hiring needs, and create internship and job opportunities for them. Students are also promoted to recruiters through Corporate Marketing Visits and an annual compilation of students curriculum vitae sent to key partners.
Conferences, workshops, networking sessions, career talks and industry forums are just some of many events that Career Services organizes as platforms for our students to interact with potential employers and create that sterling first impression which will enhance their employability.
The main objective of the IRC is to enhance career prospects of KRM students. IRC team always promote visits to potential employers in various companies and apprise them of the ample talent available at our Management Institute. These managers and executives of IRC have developed strong relationships with various renowned companies. This interaction with the industry has equipped the career management team in providing the students with information that will guide them in planning their careers properly. It also helps to increase recruitment and maintain strong industry contacts.

The IRC organizes various activities such as Industrial Visits, lectures, pre-placement talks, conference and workshops, which give opportunities to the industry as well as the students to interact with each other. Apart from academics the students are given career counseling and training, and are also exposed to practice group discussion sessions and mock interviews prior to the final placements.
Career Counseling
IRC counseling team also guide the students through the process of choosing the possible career options and help them to make career choices which are in tune with their interests, abilities, and work experience and moreover inline of industry demand.
Internships
The Summer Internship Program (SIP) combines academic inputs with practical training and offer industry-related, hands-on experience in various career opportunities. They also help students gain future employment contacts by networking with potential employers.
Strong Industry Interface
IRC is organizing Industry interaction programs with a cross-section of Industrialist expert & professionals from various sectors and functional areas like financial services, marketing, human resource management, operations, information technology. A range of professional development seminars are also organized with the industry, to facilitate regular job placements.
